FOAS ( Future Offensive Air System)
 

The British Defense Ministry is considering to replace the aircraft Tornado GR4 "for forward-looking aviation system FOAS .

Aircraft and aircraft systems developed under this program should be ready by 2018, when the fighter-bomber Tornado will deduct for the resource.

Under this theme, work is underway on several systems:

- A promising carrier CVF ,

- A single combat aircraft of the future FJCA , formerly known as the FCBA ,

- Unmanned combat aircraft

- Cruise missile, airborne,

- Carriers of cruise missiles.

Offer firm BAE includes regular fighter drone aircraft and cruise missiles and air-based.

As usual fighter will apply EF2000 , or JSF , rather than newly built aircraft. On it will be responsible for the fight at long range with low visibility and flying at low altitudes.

The carrier launched cruise missiles is considered the A400M.
